Remember the excitement of waking up early and running out to the Christmas tree to see what Santa left? The joy of tearing open the brightly wrapped presents to see what was inside? Do you have a huge holiday feast with all of your favorite foods to share with family and friends?

Most of us are lucky enough to have wonderful holiday memories. What if you and your family were not as fortunate? Imagine how hard it would be to explain to your children that Santa would not be coming to their house this year.  How difficult would it be to know your family would not have a large holiday meal or maybe no meal at all on Christmas? Sadly, that is the reality for many families in San Francisco.

Now imagine the joy you would feel if you could help provide a wonderful holiday experience for a family in need this holiday season. Think of a child, who may have never received a gift before in their life, opening a present you provided for them. Or an entire family sitting down to a holiday meal because of a grocery gift card you donated.

Please join Community Karma in creating some of these positive memories for families who need it most! Community Karma’s goal this holiday season is to support as many families as possible through Compass Community Services Adopt a Family Program. We have received “gift wish lists” for several families and now need your help to make their wishes come true! The more support we get, the more families we can support – we will be watching the registry and adding more families as people RSVP to our event.

How you can help:

Gift donation can be purchased on-line through our Community Karma wish list on Target.com or dropped off in person during our Community Karma Holiday Happy Hour.  Please do not gift wrap items.   Community Karma will handle wrapping gifts, making sure they are labeled correctly for each family, etc. The link to the registry is:

If you choose to shop “in store” please purchase something off of this Target registry as we have gotten specific requests, including sizes, from our families.
